Why Is My Siemens Dishwasher Leaking from the Bottom?

Why Is My Siemens Dishwasher Leaking from the Bottom?”
(And what we did to fix it in Gilbert, AZ)

This week we were called out to a home in Gilbert, AZ for a Siemens dishwasher leaking water from the bottom of the door. The homeowner noticed a recurring puddle forming near the base and called us in before things could get worse.

Here’s what we found:

🔍 The Diagnosis:

  • Broken Door Gasket: The gasket that seals the door had worn out over time, leading to a poor seal and water escaping during cycles.
  • Damaged Filter Assembly: The interior filter — which helps trap debris and direct drainage — was cracked and no longer seating properly, allowing excess water to pool where it shouldn't.

Both components were contributing to the leak, and neither would improve without proper replacement.

The Fix:
We ordered the OEM parts specific to this Siemens model:

  • Door Gasket: 00494772
  • Dishwasher Filter: 00615079

Once the parts arrive, we’ll return to install and fully test the unit. With these components replaced, the dishwasher will be restored to full function — leak-free and efficient.

Why it matters:
Ignoring small dishwasher leaks can lead to:

  • Warped or rotted kitchen floors
  • Mold growth
  • Damage to surrounding cabinetry
  • Higher water bills

If your dishwasher is dripping, smells musty, or has visible damage to the seals — don’t wait. We service dishwashers across the East Valley (Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, Tempe, and beyond), and we’re always happy to take a look.
